Truckers who served in the military, and active-duty service members, can claim a meal on Veterans Day at no charge at participating Pilot and Flying J travel centers. Pilot announced the offer on Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to CDLLife and The Trucker.

How to claim the meal

On Nov. 11, 2026, former and active members of the U.S. military who are verified through ID.me can claim a sandwich and a coffee or fountain drink in the Pilot app at participating Pilot and Flying J locations, according to CDLLife and The Trucker.

Year-round savings

The Trucker reported that Pilot also offers savings to verified service members and their families through the Pilot app all year, including 10% off food and beverages.

The round-up campaign

From Oct. 19 through Nov. 15, 2026, guests at participating Pilot and Flying J travel centers can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar to benefit the Call of Duty Endowment, a group that helps veterans move into civilian careers. Pilot said 100% of the funds go to the endowment. The campaign is part of Pilot's Miles of Good giving program, The Trucker reported.

Pilot said that since 2019 its round-up campaign has contributed more than $6 million to the endowment, helping more than 10,000 veterans move into new careers. Those figures are Pilot's own.

What the companies said

"We are all indebted to our nation's veterans and active-duty members for their service and sacrifice, and it's our privilege to say thank you for all they've given to our country," said Sean Marrero, Pilot's president of retail.

Dan Goldenberg, president of the Call of Duty Endowment, said veterans "bring valuable skills and experience to the workforce," and added that Pilot's round-up campaign "gives customers a meaningful way to assist with this mission to support veteran careers."

Pilot also said it employs veterans across its network and encourages former service members to look at career openings at jobs.pilotcompany.com.
